Walking or running or jogging or dancing.

Increasing or slowing or changing or nothing.
Changing curve shows acceleration while it stretches the imagination,

Positive and negative: conventions with which we all must live,
Graphing or solving or driving or biking.
Set your frame of reference (we each have our own preference),
But remember--the slope tells all.

Velocity versus time seems so simple and sublime,
Not curving or swerving unless growing or slowing.
Whether speeding up or a sudden stop,

Acceleration is rarely seen as anything but straight and pristine.
But when pushing or pulling are inconstant and changing,
We see that altering Force will make that line graph divorce
From its unwavering path--the slope tells all.
